Groups, Workshops and Training

We offer a number of group work programs for children and women.

Our children's group work program help build self esteem, resilience, empathy, communication skills and create a positive sense of Self. The groups we will be offering in 2010 include:

The Innerspace Program (10-14 yrs). This program builds empathy and resilience. It will be available at some Cairns schools in 2010. 6 week program $240. Coming Soon....
The Evodia Tree Group (7-10 yrs) Designed for children who have had family issues and loss. 6 week program $240.
Cool Kids Social Skills program is designed for children who have difficulties getting along with their peers and siblings. 8 week program $320. Starts Term 3 2010.
On Task for Kids (6-8 yrs, 8-10 yrs) This program is to help very active kids build social skills. 8 week program $320.
Keeping us Safe (for children who have seen domestic violence) 8 week program $320
Protective Behaviours for Kids (6-8 yrs, 9-12 yrs) Incorporates family orientated learning. 4 weeks $160. Starts October 2010 for 3-5 year olds and 5-6 year olds.

Our women's group work programs are dedicated to promoting women's positive self image, emotional wellbeing and their abilities to adopt new self care strategies to help them make long term changes. In 2010 the women's groups will include:

Creating Balance - a six week program all about Self Esteem, Self Image, Self Care and Relaxation. $240.
Relax and Chill Out - a six week program desinged especially for mothers and carers. We focus on emotional and physical wellbeing and a incorporate a range of relaxation and meditation techniques to manage and reduce stress. $240. Starts October2010 early evening.

Services funded by community agencies and government departments incur GST of 10%.

One Day Workshops available in Cairns, Atherton, Innisfail, Weipa and the Torres Strait:

- Symbol Work - Communication, Expression, Resolution Projective Activities with Miniatures

- Grief, Loss & Separation Emotion-focussed Approaches to Counselling Young Clients

- Safe Anger Release with Young Clients

- Expressive Therapies with Troubled & Traumatised Young Clients

Fees are $795 per module.

Early birds who pay one month in advance receive a $50 discount.
