Cards Cards - Name the Frame
A dynamic tool for making socially-just decisions Name the Frame is a unique kit of 32 cards containing over 130 questions for assisting individuals, companies, schools, governing bodies and community groups to make socially-just decisions. These cards will help people reflect on the outcomes and processes of their decision-making. Social workers, managers, politicians, community and team players examine your decisions from various perspectives including gender, stereotypes, language, consultation, culture, community building and labeling. • Scan the cards and make a selection of "frames" that you or your group thinks are particularly relevant. Use the key words and questions as the basis for your discussion. • Pick one card from each of the 4 sets (principles of empowerment, focus, processes of inclusion, and barriers). Plan a series of meetings using one card as a focus for each meeting, with a different person facilitating the discussion. • Select cards that your organisation/team/school/political party does well/could do better. How will you move forward? • Use the cards to create a mission statement, statement of values, motto or company policy. 32 laminated, full-colour cards, 210 x 100mm, polypropylene box, 24-page booklet. Published 2001.
